2024 El Presidio Home Banner (1200 x 300 px)

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a service organization open to any woman age 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from an American Revolutionary War Patriot. Much of the work of DAR is accomplished by volunteers in its chapters across the United States and internationally in order to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

The El Presidio Chapter, NSDAR, has members who come from all over the Tucson area, including Oro Valley, SaddleBrooke, and Marana. We hold meetings once a month, September through May. Founded in 1983, our chapter is named for the El Presidio del San Agustin del Tucson built by Spanish settlers in 1775. We promote the objectives of DAR by participating in many rewarding programs and activities in our community throughout the year. No matter where your interests lie, there are opportunities to participate.
